Damme itself is a tranquil little Belgian town about 600m away. Restaurants, shopping, etc. possible in Damme.
Cycle route to Bruges (6 km) along the canal. This is a free alternative to the Bruges pitch for motorhome drivers who want to see Bruges.
Up to the sea (channel coast) about 25km near Zeebrugge.

The parking spaces along the street, which are also not very heavily used, are primarily suitable for visiting the city center of Bruges, as it is within walking distance. Apparently, staying overnight shouldn´t be a problem either. The area is quiet with no through traffic.

Quiet P&R site with spacious pitches on grass pavers, the mobile home can overhang to the rear. It is possible to stay overnight, there are no prohibition signs. The old town of Bruges is about 15 minutes by bike. It is not known whether there is a bus connection, but it is likely.

This building was built during the heyday of the Burgundian kingdom. Three important eras of Bruges´ rich history can be admired. First the Burgundian period, then the 17th and 18th centuries and finally the 19th century Neo-Gothic. These periods come alive in the more than 600 pieces in the collection. Majestic tapestries, Gothic stained glass windows, elegant wooden sculptures, historical lace, paintings from different periods can be seen. There is also a set table from the 17th and 18th centuries, with silver cutlery and valuable Chinese porcelain.

The town´s oldest parish church was built between the 12th and 15th centuries. In 1834 it was consecrated as a cathedral. In the three-aisled interior, the organ, the tombs and the pulpit are worth seeing.
