Parking near Fort de Brégançon, the fort is about 500m from the parking lot, cannot be visited. Can be used free of charge in winter you have to go shopping in Bormes-les-Mimosas, about 7 km from the campsite.

The Fort de Brégançon, summer residence of the French President since 1968 (no visits), was built on a small island connected to the coast of Cap Benat by a narrow bridge.
Georges Pompidou was very attached to the building, Jacues Chirac also appeared here a few times.
The young General Bonaparte led the restoration measures on the since the beginning of the 18th Century. abandoned fort that was only fully restored between the world wars.

The approach is on a very narrow road. If there are normal cars as oncoming traffic, you can only stop. Next to the right edge of the road there is often a ditch. The place is a car parking lot under trees directly on the beach. Motorhomes allowed. At least in September you can also stand overnight for 20 euros.
