    Pont-Aven

    Pont-Aven is a beautiful little town in Cornouaille, at the beginning of the Aven estuary in the Atlantic and has 3000 inhabitants. The small harbor depends on the tide and boat watchers get their money´s worth here. Every now and then a skipper misjudges the tide and gets stuck in the running water on the way.
    Interesting the so-called School of Pont-Aven, where well-known artists around Paul Gauguin developed post-impressionism with a tendency towards synthesis with the characteristic of bright colors

    This place far back on the harbor, right by the sewage treatment plant (no problem with the smell), probably always offers a spot when everything else in Pont-Aven is full.
    Nice view of the Aven which ebbs and flows here.
