This is one of the most beautiful places we know. And everything is there! Even the groundskeeper comes personally to collect. @We love coming here!

The parking space is really ideally located, even if you don´t get a seat in the front row on the banks of the Saale, there is the possibility to set up a table and chairs on the wide strip of meadow directly on the river without disturbing others. There is a toilet and a shower on site. Showering costs €1.00 for 6 minutes. No registration is required, the groundskeeper comes to the cell phone at 7:00 p.m. to collect the cash. In an approximately three-hour hike, you can hike from here via the Saaleck castle ruins to the Rudelsburg (with beautiful and good food), in the immediate vicinity of which you can find a true ´inflation´ of warrior and other monuments from student fraternities. Yes, and if you want, you can get into the ´Kingdom of Heaven´ early. Right next to the parking space begins a path that is initially wide and then climbs up to the excursion restaurant above the site (good shoes are recommended). The view over the Saale valley and over to the two castle ruins is worth the approx. 20-minute, partly steep ascent.
