Only separated from the wide Elbe beach by a row of trees (swimming not recommended due to strong currents when ships pass by). Children should not be left alone on the beach (see above).
The big ships to Hamburg go right past the parking space. At night there are numerous small lighthouses to be seen but because of the trees they do not disturb sleeping.

Place is very popular. Was already overcrowded around noon on a Thursday. Large sandy beach.

Unfortunately, the space is almost always full. It is not allowed to spend the night on the park meadow next door. It really is time to enlarge this space and provide it with better power connections. @An insider tip is the small parking space, meinwomo ID 2396527, which can be seen if you go about 100 m out of town on the dam. There you can contact the owner by phone and then stand in the beautiful orchard. The place also has a small private beach directly behind the dam

Place is really very nice and quiet at night. Securing the electricity boxes is a real dilemma. It is not possible to charge e-bike batteries. Charging a cell phone in addition to the coffee machine does not work either. A slightly higher coverage would certainly be appropriate
