We are standing directly on the lake with a view of both castles, it couldn´t be better.

Excellent view of the lake and the mountains, Neuschwanstein Castle. Crystal clear water for swimming, as the lake is gravel. Eighth very steep access to the lower places, when driving up with our 4.5 ton truck the tires spun, so that we were afraid to roll back. Staff was very friendly. The area is prone to severe thunderstorms in summer. The lake rose quickly, so that the lowest place was washed away.
