The Wackelwald is located in the immediate vicinity of the spa park of Bad Buchau.. It used to be an ice pond.. It was used in winter to extract ice for cooling the beer cellar of a brewery.. Through reforestation later a spruce forest was created.. <9> <9> Today the Wackelwald is no longer used for forestry purposes.. It evolves naturally to the natural moor forest.. Here you can observe an extraordinary variety of species and structures.. Typical woody plants are moor birch and pine, spruce, rowan, buckthorn and various types of willow.. <9> <9> The trees stand on moorland, originating from the silting up of the glacial spring lake.. That´s why you can experience an extraordinary phenomenon here: with every step, the soft ground bounces.. Let yourself be surprised! <9> <9> <994/1302651> <994/13933> <994/13932> <9> <9> See also <1001> NABU}

Bad Buchau is a health resort in Baden Württemberg, west of Biberach an der Riss, directly on the Federsee. The main attractions are the moor and mineral spa, as well as the Federsee with its surrounding moor areas (e.g. Eiswackelwäldle) <9> <9> Obviously people felt at home here as early as the Stone Age, as numerous finds from Ice Age reindeer hunters and pile farmers attest. The oldest wooden wheels in Europe were found here. Bad Buchau used to be in the middle of the Federsee, which resulted in a safe location without towers or city walls. <9> <9> At the end of the 18th century, the Federsee was lowered and Buchau lost its island protection <9> <9> <9> From 1896 to 1917 the city was connected to the Federseebahn, a narrow-gauge railway from Schussenried via Buchau to Riedlingen to the railway network. <9> The monument locomotive 99 637 at the former station commemorates this time. <9> <9> Buchau officially became Bad Buchau in September 1963 with the status of mud spa. <9> <9> The <1001> NABU nature conservation center Federsee ONLINE Info} looks after the moor and is the contact point for visitors and a training center. <9> <9> <994/1302643> <994/1302641> <994/13928> <994/13933><9> <9>994/13933> <9> <9>994/13933> <9> <9>Attractions: <9> <9> * Federsee, an important bird sanctuary and retreat for 265 species of birds <9> * Federseemuseum <9> * Federseesteg (makes the moorland accessible) <9> * Eiswackelwäldle - on a former pond (formerly used to extract ice ) grown forest. The surface is only ´strengthened´ by roots, which creates an elastic subsurface. Trees and the ground can be made to ´wobble´ by jumping <9> * Adelindis - Therme with 47.5 ° hot thermal water from 795m depth. The thermal baths offer a thermal bath and sauna area, an active park with a sports pool, equipment course and barefoot path and wellness offers. <9> <9> <994/1684924> <994/1681172> <994/1684923> <994/1302646> <994/1302644> <9> <9>Architecturally worth seeing:<9> * Collegiate Church of St. Cornelius and Cyprianus, built 1774-1776 by Pierre Michel d´Ixnard <9>

The motorhome can be stocked with new toys in the local polymer shop, as the Hymer company is based here. Here, too, like in Buchau and Waldsee, dog lovers can go on beautiful tours with their four-legged friends. <9> <9> On the further way we can walk back on long-forgotten tracks by trying to explore the remains of formerly proud castles such as Burg Oberschwarzach, Burg Schweinhausen etc. There are also some pretty churches to see. <9> In <121> Biberach an der Riss <122> we park our rolling home and take a nice stroll through the nearby city center, before continuing the next day to the starting point of our little tour, <121> Bad Buchau <122 >. <9><9> <9>Here, too, like in Buchau and Waldsee, dog lovers can go on beautiful tours with their four-legged friends. <9> <9> On the further way we can walk back on long-forgotten traces by trying to explore the remains of formerly proud castles such as Burg Oberschwarzach, Burg Schweinhausen etc. There are also some pretty churches to see. <9> In <121> Biberach an der Riss <122> we park our rolling home and go for a nice stroll through the nearby city center, before we continue the next day to the starting point of our little tour, <121> Bad Buchau <122 >. <9><9> <9>Here, too, like in Buchau and Waldsee, dog lovers can go on beautiful tours with their four-legged friends. <9> <9> On the further way we can walk back on long-forgotten tracks by trying to explore the remains of formerly proud castles such as Burg Oberschwarzach, Burg Schweinhausen etc. There are also some pretty churches to see. <9> In <121> Biberach an der Riss <122> we park our rolling home and go for a nice stroll through the nearby city center, before we continue the next day to the starting point of our little tour, <121> Bad Buchau <122 >. <9><9> <9>On the further way we can walk back on long-forgotten traces by trying to explore the remains of formerly proud castles such as Burg Oberschwarzach, Burg Schweinhausen etc. There are also some pretty churches to see. <9> In <121> Biberach an der Riss <122> we park our rolling home and take a nice stroll through the nearby city center, before we continue the next day to the starting point of our little tour, <121> Bad Buchau <122 >. <9><9> <9>we park our rolling home and take a nice stroll through the nearby city center, before we continue the next day to the starting point of our little tour, <121> Bad Buchau <122>. <9><9> <9>we park our rolling home and take a nice stroll through the nearby city center before we continue the next day to the starting point of our little tour, <121> Bad Buchau <122>. <9><9> <9>
