    Burgruine Rodenstein

    Rodenstein Castle was built in the middle of the 13th century and later expanded with palace buildings and towers. After the Thirty Years´ War it fell into disrepair.
    The so-called mill tower from 1346 is the best preserved.

    It was first mentioned in the 12th century. In the 18th century it was left to decay and partly used as a quarry.

    Around 1150 there was a castle here owned by the Lords of Crumpach.
    Since 1979 it has been used by the Young Christians Offensive as a meeting place and conference venue.
