  • Why is Brazil between California and Schönberger beach?. <9> <9> Just behind Schönberger Strand lies Brazil.. A little later you reach California.. If you ask locals, you get the following answer: It all started when a fisherman found a plank on the beach with the name of a stranded ship.. ´California´ was read.. He nailed the board to his fence and the place was henceforth named.. The envious neighbors were annoyed, but soon had an idea.. They did not wait for a new plank, just wrote ´Brasilia´ on a board and nailed it to their fence as well.. <9> <9> Is this a story of the coast?. But that´s the way it should have been!.
