The town hall of Wittstock was built in 1905 to 1906 in the neo-Gothic style on foundations or with parts of previous buildings. The court arbor, the cellar vault and the north gable are from earlier times.

Mentioned for the first time in 1566, it is one of the representative houses of the old office freedom, which only fell to the city in 1848. At the end of the 17th century the house was the first post office.
