Rifugio Alpe Cucco
Absolutely quiet parking space on the Alpe Cucco is 1000m above sea level.. With good company of horse and donkey.. Stop is desired.. Very nice operator, very good and reasonably priced food.. Toilets Ristorante. The access by Ficuzza.. After about 2.7 km ends at a curve to the left the tarmac road, where the sign? Alpe Cucco turismo natura?. stands.. It is about 2.5 km on the gravel road, which can be negotiated with middle Womos till you left sees the Alpe on the high plateau.. For big boats the access is, however, not recommended..
On the way back you can about 300 meters after the start of the paved road on the left with a large fountain drinking water refill (no hose connection)
