    Caorle is a town in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy, about 50 kilometers northeast of Venice. The city is located on the Adriatic coast and is a popular tourist destination, especially in summer.

    Caorle has a rich history dating back to Roman times. In the Middle Ages the city was an important trading town and served as a base for Venetian trade with the East. Today Caorle is best known for its beautiful beaches, picturesque old town and culinary specialties.

    The main attractions of Caorle include the Caorle Cathedral, which dates back to the 11th century and features a variety of architectural styles, and the Church of Saint Mary of the Angels, built in the 11th century and has a remarkable Romanesque facade. The old town of Caorle is also worth a visit, with its narrow streets and colorful houses.

    The beaches of Caorle are also an important tourist attraction. Ponente Beach is an 18 kilometer long sandy beach with a wide promenade and many facilities for tourists. Levante beach is smaller and less busy, but still very beautiful.

    Caorle´s cuisine offers many culinary specialties from the region, including fish dishes, pasta and risotto. Visitors can also sample the local wines and spirits, including prosecco and grappa.

    It´s worth taking a stroll between the old harbor and the beach, past the Romanesque cathedral and the round campanille. The place is still characterized by fishermen today.
