The campsite is well suited for a visit to De Hoge Veluwe National Park. This is the largest privately owned nature area in the Netherlands. It comprises 5,400 hectares of forest, heather, moorland and drifting sand. There is a great diversity of flora and fauna and the park is home to extremely rare species that are on the red list.
