Evaluation parking - Wohnmobil-parking Batterie DietlFrom here you have a wonderful view of the Lofoten.. Battery Dietl was built in World War II to protect the port of Narvik, where the important iron ore from Kiruna (Sweden) was shipped.. The three guns had a range up to 56 km loud shield and easily reached the Lofoten.. A small museum about 500 meters away provides more information.. Here you can stay in a quiet location with the best view. The most important comments (available in total=4) flitzpiepe | 2022-06 | Another possibility to stand well is 200 m further. Drive past the visitor car park, then turn right on a hilltop. Very brave can drive the gravel road to the beach (keep right at the fork) easy to drive. Below is space for 2-3 campers. The area is great for taking walks. flitzpiepe | 2022-06 |
The museum opens on June 15th. Now it´s wonderfully lonely. The car park is not very big. It is questionable whether there is room for a mobile home when many visitors are knocked out. The journey is easily accessible via a narrow gravel road (approx. 2km). comment and rate
