Great place to visit Stonehenge. Yes, it is loud due to heavy traffic on the expressway. Yes, the driveway has large potholes. But how great is it to stay with a view of Stonehenge? @Everyone can decide for themselves. Like some others, we stayed and experienced a great sunset and sunrise. And for good photos you have to keep your distance anyway, as the sun only looks big with a telephoto lens.

During our visit on September 21, 2019, a ´colorful´, noisy company had settled along the dirt road.. This even looked like overnight.

The dirt road has advantages and disadvantages: no parking fees, in a few minutes on the stone circle outside the fence (actually enough for view and photos), no entrance fees (expensive!) Disadvantage: if you want close to the stone circle, you need tickets, there are only in the info-center 2km away, but is a very nice hike! Access via the A303 only from the west possible (left!), From the east to the next roundabout drive through and back (about 1.5km)
