  Parking in front of an abandoned hotel directly by the water.. On the banks of Lake Sevan you will find many POIs, some of the world cultural heritage, so a stay is worthwhile.. The lake, at 2000 m altitude, can be reached in an hour from Yerevan on an expressway.. On the bank some new hotels and restaurants, mostly on the line on the west bank between Sevan and Gavar.. The most important POI is the Sevankloster from the 9th century on a peninsula.. The monastery consists of two churches with a monastery school.. This POI is much visited and it is a lot of hustle and bustle with sales booths, restaurants, discomusics, etc., therefore hardly any overnight stay in the large parking spaces
the parking space is located on the quiet north-west end of the lake.. The advantage of this place is that the empty, horrible looking hotel (ruin) is guarded day and night.. The entrance gate is always open.. Occasionally the place is visited by anglers.
