  In the valley of the Kura, the cave city Vardzia is from the 12th. Century to about 1200 m altitude in the small Caucasus.
The caves and churches were driven into the rock above the river and are on a narrow path to besichtigen.Die entire system is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is worth a detour.
Between river and caves a green belt which invites to camp.. On solid ground many ways can be found to a halt.. The course is one of the most beautiful on our journey.. It offers everything that is needed except electricity.. Since the attraction of the population has been well received, the roads and infrastructure are well developed.. There is a small visitor center with information vorh with toilet facilities, daily cleaning, rustic restaurant, kiosk, playground, etc. To stay you go to the meadow which follows, unless one wants to asphalt stehen.Die Wise river extends to approximately 500 m, so that everyone can find a separate place in absolute silence.. The meadow is also used by groups of hikers, kayakers and so on.. But no mass production, except us, there were two tents.
