the place is absolutely suitable for a night and for a hike. In 08/21 the restaurant was still closed and therefore even quieter.

The inn is closed, the building is advertised for rent - see picture. The parking lot is still very suitable for overnight stays, it is actually in the middle of the forest, very quiet. There are no prohibition signs. Therefore, the place should actually be renamed to a parking lot with overnight accommodation. Here is the starting point for the easy, half-hour, very rewarding hike to the lookout tower on the highest mountain in Burgenland, the Geschrittenstein 884m high. You can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view far into the western Hungarian plain and in the west to the Schneeberg.
