The parking lot can currently still be used as an overnight accommodation (as of October 2023), but the entire area south of the pool will be redesigned. A campsite is being built across the street and the access to the sports field, where it was previously nice to spend the night, is completely new and converted into a large parking lot on the right and left of the street. It is questionable whether it will still be possible to stay overnight there for free after the campsite is completed. I could still stand there without any problems, with a wonderful view of the castle for breakfast. @Riegersburg The town and castle are recommended, as are the Buschenschänken all around, especially in autumn.
