- To the east of Marseille, in the Massif de la Sainte-Baume, there is a remarkable cave that gave the whole area its name.. On the pass road to the Col de l´Espigoulier is the Hostellerie la Ste-Baume, from where a footpath through the forest leads up to the grotto..
