    Lurs

    Lurs sits high above the Durance Valley. In the Middle Ages, Lurs was a larger town and belonged to the bishopric of Sisteron.

    The graphic artist and printer Maximilien Vox saved the village from oblivion at the beginning of the last century. It has been authentically restored.

    Today, Lurs is a particularly beautiful place, with its campanile-like watchtower, houses with protruding floors, old gates and doors, and a square that juts out into the landscape like a terrace.


    At the beginning of the village there is a parking lot that is also suitable for smaller WOMOs. Access to the village is not permitted.
