- Seebach is a very beautiful and well maintained village in Alsace.. Many beautiful, well-preserved half-timbered houses characterize the townscape <9> <9> For 30 years, the village has been organizing the Streisselhochzeit with much dedication.. The Seebacher Streisselhochzeit, a trailing Alsatian peasant wedding, is performed as it was celebrated in 1937.. Approximately 100 wedding guests pass through the romantic village, accompanied by the pastor, teachers, guests and four Ardennes horses.. In front of the mayor, ´Schorsch´ and ´Bawele´ promise to continue cultivating the customs and traditions of Seebach.. <9> <9> After the wedding dinner, which in previous years killed two pigs, one calf and one cow, plus 300 pounds of butter and 1 000 eggs for cakes, the big party started for all visitors.. <9> <9> The spectacle gives an insight into how old traditions can still give pleasure to the participants and guests.. <9> <9> In the Street of Memories (La Rue des Souvenirs - southern rue des Églises) old tools and tools are displayed..
