Generously designed pitches, friendly operators and a beautiful view of the lake. @Online reservation easy, reserved places will be held until 6 p.m. Prices from €15 per night, 1st row €17, but a clear view of the lake. @Kiosk with friendly service. @Sanitary facilities clean, showers with washing area, but €1 for hot water at the sink too. @Disposal okay. @In my opinion, however, there is no option to tap water in small quantities (for coffee, etc.) free of charge. @Instead there is a warning sign on the toilet that no water or brushing of teeth is permitted and violations will result in expulsion. No possibility to clean dishes. Can be solved more elegantly. @Highlight: For €29day you can rent a Fiat Panda to explore the surrounding area.

Almost all seats were reserved, but in the evening they were still empty. The place now costs 17 € plus shower and electricity extra. It´s quite a price. The kiosk closes at the discretion of the operator.

Cycle path around the lake very nice, partly very steep climb, OK for e-bikes. Bread service to the place super. The rope barrier at the entrance and for supply, disposal and make it yourself.

Why all access routes (to the parking space or to the disposal) are cordoned off with ropes is not clear to me. @ There is a license plate recognition and that should be enough. The ropes must be loosened each time - you then continue - stop - hang the ropes back on. @The at entry - exit and access to the V&E. @Very cumbersome and time-consuming - pointless !!!!

Very nicely situated parking space, only the nearest shop in about 4 km and very hilly (inclines up to 25%) around the lake and to Bad Arolsen.

Admittedly, a nice place, plenty of parking spaces, everything is there, but a bustle like in a beehive, motorbikes, cars, campers, everyone looking for a parking space, a snack vendor with market-screeching qualities only quiets down from 6 p.m., if that doesn´t bother you is right here

Very nicely laid out motorhome parking space.. As a welcome we were offered a schnapps in the reception.. But there was no bread service, although the space was almost fully occupied.

The motor home port is located only 10 km from the motorway. Take the A44 (between Dortmund and Kassel), exit Warburg / Brakel / Volkmarsen off and turn right onto the L3080 direction Volkmarsen. Keep in Volkmarsen the roundabout Bad Arolsen - Weather castle. After a few kilometers turn left towards the direction Twistesee dam / Café in the lake and caravan site on Twistesee.
