Arrived on 0815. For the first time in the Wesermarsch seen an almost empty square at this time of the year. The reason then hung on the information board: from 17. 8 to 20 August closed. Whether only this year or regularly could not be clarified.

Well located place, plenty of opportunity for a walk nearby. Elsfleth is otherwise not so excitingly going on. Occasionally there is a barge on the quay: not every skipper turns on shore power, then a diesel buzzes with noise and exhaust all night. Cost: very inexpensive.

Visit in early October.. Only 2-3 other visitors present.. Elsfleth as a place is already quite dark and empty at this time of the year.. With luck, Germany´s only sailing cargo ship, the Avontuur, will be present.. That is then right outside the door.. The place was clean, quiet.. In any case, Esr offers a beautiful view of the young and beautiful morning scenarios with sunrise (weather permitting) over the Wesermarsch.
