We were after 2015 for the 2nd time on the extended space for an overnight stay. Very central and close to the Rhine. There is a very nice and huge beer garden here, unfortunately we didn´t use it in the rain.

Pitch Germersheim was fully occupied at the end of March. It is very well located. City and shopping in the immediate vicinity. Not far to the Rhine either.

The place has become really nice. On the last visit it was not paved, but at that time it only cost 5 €, whereby the electricity was not included in the price. @ In my opinion, two more motorhomes could easily be on the pitch.

The place now has a traffic light controlled access control. When we arrived it was clear from afar that at least 4 parking spaces were still free, the traffic light was still red, all spaces were occupied. A colleague standing there advised us: just ignore, the places are free. Since we basically don´t see everything that closely, we did this, but of course wanted to pay. The machine refused, the reason in the display: all places occupied, the next place will be changed. . . . Clock free. The solution to the riddle When leaving, every motorhome owner has to scan his ticket at the machine, if he does not do it or the scan does not work, the space will continue to be considered occupied and no one will switch the light from red to green. In my opinion, unnecessary and cost-driving nonsense, but still a nice place in an interesting environment.If the place is really full, there are places to stay just 200m further in the direction of the Rhine.

The site has spacious parking spaces. Ideal starting point for cycling tours, e.g. B. to Speyer, to the island of Rott with the two fish restaurants, the stork route to Rülzheim etc.
