Danger! The parking lot is marked with the additional sign ´PKW´, so only allowed for ´PKW´. We nevertheless stood on it (November, Corona) to go on a hike to Hambach Castle. Very good starting point! We spent the night somewhere else.

It is a normal gravel / dust car parking lot, motor vehicles are not prohibited. No infrastructure available, sloping terrain. Great view of the Rhine plain. We stayed overnight without any problems, and other womos joined us because all the places at the winegrowers in the village were occupied. Good starting point to Hambach Castle, the vineyards and the nearby winemakers with restaurants and house sales of their wines. Just a little trash can that immediately overflows. Lots of day-trippers come at the weekend and you are mercilessly parked in.
