Well, what can you say: the place is natural or a bit old? Should everyone decide for themselves. It is definitely in need of some renovation. But the location is great. If you get a seat in the first row, you have a nice view of the Havel. The people at the reception are very friendly and uncomplicated. We were there after a long dry period and then there was sometimes a lot of dust because the majority of the place is unpaved and sandy. Could imagine it will be very muddy after a heavy rain shower. The area is a paradise for nature lovers. Very beautiful cycle paths through the Elbe and Havelauen with diverse wildlife. Nature lovers should definitely visit the House of the Rivers - fantastically done! On the first weekend in September there is always the Havelberg horse market, a huge folk festival and, accordingly, everything is fully booked. We liked it here and would come again.
