Motorhome place Petriförder
Parking space directly on the Elbe at the Petriförder landing stage. VE not usable in winter. Slight slope to the Elbe, not usable during high tide. The sun shines on the square for a long time (when it is shining).
Good walking opportunities, many sights (e.g. Green Citadel),
public toilets nearby.
Caution
When entering, make sure that you drive in front of the middle bollard and then put the amount in the left cash register column (in coins from 10 cents upwards - the restaurant next door does not change if you don´t have any coins !!!). The middle bollard then lowers towards the entrance. When driving away, drive again in front of the middle bollard, which then lowers automatically. Parking fees should apply for a maximum of 3 days.

There is a market there on the first Sunday of the month. Parking is then only at the beginning of the square,

The VE facility is in a sorry state in the upper parking lot. @The blinds for the toilet cassettes are defective and permanently open, so disposal is possible without inserting coins. Sewage disposal only with bucket or hose. Tip: Empty the cassette, rinse with water from the waste water tank. @Fresh water approx. 70 liters/1€

You are right on the Elbe - beautiful. Entry costs 8 euros in coins and you can stay for 3 days. I don´t know how that is controlled when people stand there for longer. But we found the city only moderately interesting, so maybe the danger isn´t really there. The noise from the nearby beach bar into the night is unreasonable. Park far away from there!

From December 1st to 4th the place was still open (and empty). After three days someone came and pointed out the 3-day rule (but let us stand a little longer). VE is packed winter-proof. Good parking space to explore Magdeburg. Was already quite full on arrival (around 3:30 p.m.). Otherwise everything is very nice. It is a 30-minute walk to the city.
