Remote large parking lot for hikers in the Hochtaunus nature park. The access is via a narrow asphalt path, which officially can only be used by vehicles up to 3.5 t. On weekends / holidays and in the afternoons, this parking lot is very often used by hikers, mountain bikers, dog owners and other nature lovers. Later in the evening and at night it is very quiet here. Many well-marked hiking routes in different lengths start from this parking lot. The Limes Experience Trail and / or the old Roman fort can also be easily reached from here. Since this parking lot is in the nature reserve of the Hochtaunus, barbecuing should be avoided here.

From Oberursel toward Schmitten on the L3004 to the Sandplacken.. Coming from this direction of travel, turn right at the main intersection (branch to the Great Feldberg) to the right on a small driveway, drives past the Restaurant Tannenhof and follow the paved road about 400 meters in the woods, hiking car park is signposted, the access is left.
