Wasserburg (3,000 inhabitants) is one of the most photographed places on Lake Constance.. <9> <9> There is a spectacular view of the village from the spot marked Malerwinkel.. The view goes over the bay (under nature protection) on the peninsula with church, castle and painting house (museum) and the Voralberg Alps in the background.. <9> <9> Wasserburg is a more than 1,200-year-old settlement.. It is estimated that the first parish church of St. George was built before 750.
