- Ammoudia is a small settlement of about 300 souls at the mouth of the Acheron and with a beautiful round bay.. <9> It is within sight of the island of Paxos and about 50km south of the port city of Igoumenitsa.. <9> <9> Ammoudia is one of the few places in Greece where motorhome drivers are RIGHT welcome and free to stand on the beach..
