Since 1991, the forests have been designated as a nature reserve and the forest is now owned by NPWS primarily for conservation and local recreation.. <9> There are a variety of trails in the Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve, at various levels of difficulty.. You can stroll along a gentle path along the river or go on extensive tours, eg.. B. the ascent to Lady Bantry´s Lookout..
