Huge parking lot at the valley station of the gondola lift approx. 1600m above sea level. NN. From Merano you can reach the site in about 20 minutes via a moderately steep, winding but well-developed road, which is also suitable for larger mobile homes. (There are also buses all the way up). At the entrance to the parking lot there is a small wooden house, which has already worn away some scratches on the roof gable. CAUTION: The alcove can easily get stuck here.
It is a bit remote from the motorway and can be reached via many switchbacks.
The place is relatively flat for the most part. At the weekend it is completely parked during the day.
The area is beautiful, with a magnificent view over the Merano valley and very beautiful hiking trails. There is a small playground at the lift station.
The gondola is open all year round. In winter it serves as a feeder to various chair lifts and ironing boards. The train takes you to just under 2000m above sea level. There is a very nice summer toboggan run there. The mountain station is also the starting point for a number of high-altitude hiking trails.
