Not far from Barolo, to the west, on a hill, lies the friendly little town of Cherasco. Already Napoleon found the place as ´Italy´s most beautiful corner´.

Culinary Cherasco shines with its ´Baci´ (kisses): delicious pralines made from dark chocolate and hazelnuts from the Langhe, as well as recipes for preparing snails. The place is the ´capital´ of snail farming. The International Institute for Snail Breeding has been here for 30 years.

Cherasco is also very connected to the antiquarian bookshop. Strolling under the arcades in the old town, you will come across many old workshops with wrought iron shop signs selling objects, paintings and antique furniture of considerable value.
