    Salsomaggiore Terme

    When the doctor Lorenzo Berzieri healed a girl with the water containing bromine and iodized salt in the 19th century, the town developed into an important health resort.
    1913-23 the magnificent Art Nouveau Terme Berzieri was built. Mosaics and frescoes decorate the atrium and the staircase.
    The Terme Luigi Zoja was built in 1968 by the architects Franco Albini and Franca Helg in the Parco Mazzini.
    Both thermal baths are open from Mon-Sat 7.20-12. 40 and 15.30 to 17.30
