High above Molde there is an area called Varden. From up here you have a wonderful view of the town of Molde, fjord, islands and mountains. Parking space is now limited, as the large car park has a no-stopping zone. There is a restaurant at the end of the street. The road is a firm, well passable sandy track with not too high a gradient. The walk to the city center is about 4km.

The road is consistently steep for 5 km. There are just 430 meters of altitude to master. It´s not that easy to find a parking space upstairs. The 1st upper gravel place in front of the hut has space for 3 Womos (if there is no car). The next place is a turning area for buses that are not parked. At the very back of the turning curve there could possibly be 2 Womos (?). The view is gigantic.
