Large parking lot with extra signposted parking for campers.. Staying overnight prohibited.. Especially recommended, if you come from the south on the B3234: You save the steep descent to Lynmouth (25 percent gradient).. You can easily get to the coast either on a hiking trail (about 20 minutes) or you can take the Lynton Cliff Rail, the oldest and steepest water ballast train in the world.. Or you connect the two to a circular route.. You can also walk along the cliffs along the North Walk to the Valley of the Rocks (45 mins).. Great views!. The mountain station of the railway is 400 meters from the car park.. A wonderful alternative to the overcrowded and narrow parking lot on the coast in Lynmouth.
