History:
In 1348, the Teutonic Order erected the Sensburg, a wooden castle in what is today Mragowo.. In 1444 the town was granted city rights by the Grand Master Konrad von Jungingen.. The population lived on agriculture and the surrounding forest.. In 1568, 1693 and 1698 the city was destroyed by fires, in 1657 the plague raged and in 1708-1711 a cholera epidemic..
