deitesfrnlse Along the French Mediterranean coast from Carro to Cerbère

This travel guide leads along the French Mediterranean coast.. It starts at the RV site in Carro near Marseille.. About Martigues, a small port city we drive on to the historic Arles.. This city and the surroundings are very worth seeing.. Then you should definitely visit the Camargue, a large nature reserve with a rich bird population such as herons, flamingos and many other species.. Even the horses and bulls in the Camargue are an attractive destination..
Many interesting places with pitches border this nature reserve.. Saintes Maries de la Mer is one of them. Other nearby places are Aigues Mortes, Le Grau du Roi and La Grande Motte..
The great city of Montpellier lies before us on our journey to the west.. It is also worth a stay before we continue to Beziers via Sète and Agde.. This city and its surroundings also have a lot to offer..
Via Narbonne and Perpignan, past many well-known seaside resorts, we reach at Argelès sur Mer the Cote Vermeille, a particularly beautiful wild coast, here in the extreme southwest of France.. Some nice beach resorts are hidden here between the rugged rocks..
Especially charming on this coast is the mountainous hinterland, because here rise the Pyrenees with their summits, some of which are still snowy in summer..
The journey ends in Cerbère, just before the Spanish border..
