The serial number of the cell phone will then be displayed. Make a note of this number and keep it in a safe place. If a cell phone should be stolen, you have to report this serial number to the phone dealer or manufacturer, who can then block the cell phone completely, even if the thief inserts a new SIM card.
You don´t get your cell phone back, but at least you have the satisfaction that the thief can´t do anything with it either.
