deitesfrnlseGermany´s most beautiful holiday routes

Travelers can optimally enjoy the most beautiful sides of Germany by driving along a scenic route.

At 75 years old, one of the oldest holiday routes is the German Alpine Road. On the 450 winding kilometers from Lindau on Lake Constance to Berchtesgaden on the K nigssee near the Austrian border, there are lush alpine meadows, gently rolling hills and steep mountain peaks, surrounded by green forests, romantic valleys and glittering Lakes. 25 venerable castles, monasteries and picturesque palaces invite you to linger. The more than 20 crystal clear mountain lakes offer not only a gorgeous sight, but also a lot of sports and leisure opportunities.
Via Deutsche Alleenstra e from the island of R gen to Lake Constance, with around 2,500 kilometers Germany´s longest holiday route, 100 year old trees interlace their branches and form a protective roof. The route first runs through Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to Rheinsberg and from there either through Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt to Goslar or via Dresden through the Ore Mountains to Th ringen.
Everything on the Badische Spargelstrasse revolves around the noble vegetables. It leads about 136 kilometers from the most famous asparagus town in the world, Schwetzingen, via Reilingen, Karlsruhe, Rastatt to Scherzheim. The white poles will be pricked in this region until June 24th. Visitors can watch the harvest or even help out. At numerous asparagus festivals and in the inns, the focus is on asparagus. Along this gourmet route, next to the asparagus fields, there are blooming meadows, parks and gardens, interesting sights, bathing lakes as well as museums and historical sites.
Historic sites and charming landscapes with many romantic castles and palaces make the approximately 1,000 km long Castle Road from Mannheim to Prague a varied route. The splendor of bygone times still determines the image of the places and cities today. The Neckar meanders through the legendary Odenwald and lookout points invite you to look over its valley. The treasures of the Palatinate Electors can still be seen today in the cities of Mannheim and Heidelberg. Near Heilbronn the route leads through wine-blissful, extensive vineyards. The rococo city of Auerbach, the medieval imperial city of Nuremberg and the cities of Bamberg, Coburg, Kronach, Kulmbach and Bayreuth impress with their fortresses and baroque buildings.
The German Wine Route is Germany´s first and still the most famous holiday route. It runs for 85 kilometers through the second largest German wine-growing region. Lots of sunshine and a sense of tradition make up this region. Differentiated wine enjoyment promises a wine tasting directly at the winemaker and the kitchen should not be missed either.
