With the Greeks, unfortunately, one only too often has the feeling that the way in which one meets the guest is directly related to one´s wallet.
If you live with Greeks for a long time, you know how to take them, but it was sometimes irritating that one day someone fell on your neck in an exuberant manner and the next day he didn´t know you . . . As I said, if you live there longer, you know how to handle it, but mentally there is a very big difference to the Italians.

There is also a big difference between the individual regions (e.g. Ionian or G ic Islands), but since it is no different between East Frisians and Bavaria, everyone should find out for themselves.

A quirk that occurs to me right now: if you want 5 pieces of one thing, please do not just hold up your whole hand, possibly with the palm of your hand opposite. . . this is an absolute NONO and is considered an insult.
So either pronounce the 5 or show with 2 hands, e.g. one hand lifts 3, the other 2 fingers.
