Aufstieg auf den Brocken
Tour / hiking / bike / ski / Hiking
At 1,141 m above sea level NN the Brocken is the highest elevation in the Harz Mountains. From its summit you can see as far as the Thuringian Forest, the Weserbergland and far into the Harz foothills - even as far as the Petersberg near Halle (Saale) - on a clear day. If you don´t want to take the narrow-gauge Brockenbahn to the top, the most comfortable ascent is from Schierke. The hike from Schierke to the summit is about 8 km long.
