I initially wanted to spend the night at the sports field, but several mobile homes are currently parked (October 2023), perhaps for the future campsite in the immediate vicinity (planned to open in February 2024). However, a long parking lot has been created on the access road, which still offers free overnight stays. with a great view of the Riegersburg. @Whether overnight stays will still be free after the campsite is completed is questionable.

Great place to stay to visit the Riegersburg. Free parking during the day in the Riegersburg car park. @Very quiet place. Also suitable for larger motorhomes@ As long as you don´t set up your table and chairs, there are no problems. @We wouldn´t be disturbed and we didn´t disturb anyone. @ Groundsman was very friendly 😊 @ Note: @ No electricity, no V&E possible

Quiet overnight stay in midsummer 2021, groundskeeper of the sports field greets you in a friendly way in the morning. In walking distance from the Riegersburg. A worthwhile walk and of course the castle is the highlight. However, no infrastructure of the sports field is accessible

Access to the soccer field and parking space opposite the outdoor swimming pool / bathing pond Riegersburg. Football during the day, quiet at night. At first we weren´t sure whether the overnight stay would be OK, in the evening there were five other womos and the night was great. The restaurant by the bathing pond has excellent cuisine and a very nice terrace on the water.
