    Gordes

    Gordes is situated on a steep rocky outcrop.

    Upstairs are a Renaissance castle and a Romanesque church, all around, wherever the terrain allows, the houses nestle against the rocks.

    The narrow and steep streets with their high, narrow and authentically restored houses are particularly beautiful. Gordes has been included in the list of the most beautiful villages in France.

    Gordes is very touristy and very crowded during the peak tourist season.
